ok, why this title for the blog?

Well, why not. Martha and I were trying to come up with a name for the blog...Martha didn't like "Their eyes were wathcing film" because it plays on the title of a BOOK, not a film. Then Martha suggested we think about films we like, and since I had just recently seen (seen again) "Crimes and Middemeanors" Martha put it together...she's clever that way.

Anyway, I was prompted to watch C&M again because I was reminded of it when I watched the more recent Woody Allen film "Match Point"... Martin Landau as the cheating husband was much more tortured by murdering his mistress... and Woody Allen is great as the jilted husband/aspiring boyfriend, who sums up show biz brutality as "It's worse than dog eat dog, it's dog doesn't return other dog's phone call." Good double feature!
